Law & Grace - Holeyness versus Holiness: According to the holey logic it is the fear of losing their salvation that motivates believers to live a “holy” life? 

It may have been argued (or at least, insinuated) that a little fear is healthy, but fear has to do with punishment and a person who fears cannot be perfected in love (1 John 4:18) and I thought that love was the end game...? So why would I set up a system that made it impossible for me to be the very person I'm created to be?
 
Never confuse the "fear" of God with being afraid of God ...
